Hunting for Ostrich
The ostrich, the world's largest bird, is flightless with soft, drooping feathers, and is widely found across southern Africa. It has two toes, a long neck, and long legs. Males are black with white accents, while females are grey. Ostriches inhabit bushveld and arid deserts, often forming flocks of 30 to 40. They eat grass, seeds, berries, small reptiles, and insects. Ostrich hunting is pursued for its hide and meat, with the hide used for exotic leather goods. Ostriches can be hunted year-round in South Africa, offering a unique trophy and conversation piece.
