Hunting for Bushbuck
The bushbuck is the smallest spiral-horned antelope, medium-sized, and dark reddish-brown with white spots. It is solitary, shy, and elusive, preferring riverine forests and dense thickets near water. Only males have horns, and mature bucks are larger and darker. Bushbuck can be hunted year-round in South Africa and Zimbabwe, with the best months being June to October. They are hunted by spot-and-stalk or from a blind, with early morning and late afternoon being the best times. A wounded bushbuck can be very aggressive and dangerous, so caution is needed.
