Hunting for Baboon

There are five species of Baboon in Africa: Chacma, Gelda, Guinea, Hamadryas, and Olive, with hunting opportunities in many countries. The Chacma in Southern Africa and Olive in East Africa are the most commonly hunted. Baboon hunting is generally opportunistic, often during other hunts or while waiting in a blind. While hunting is possible year-round, many prefer the Southern Hemisphere winter months, June to October. Baboons are intelligent with a strong social structure, making them challenging to hunt and dangerous neighbors, often leading locals to adopt a "shoot on sight" policy.
