Hunting for
African Wildcat
The African Wild Cat, resembling a large domestic cat, is sandy-colored with pale stripes and spots, and primarily feeds on mice, birds, lizards, and insects. As the ancestor of the domestic cat, it has subspecies grouped into Asiatic, Near Eastern, and South African. Legal hunting is possible in Ethiopia, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe, usually during general 'plains game' hunts. Nocturnal by nature, it can be hunted efficiently at night with night sights or artificial light. In South Africa, it can be hunted opportunistically without a prior license.
